Thomas Moran
Thomas Moran was an American painter from the Hudson River School whose paintings regularly included the Rocky Mountains. Thomas Moran along with Albert Bierstadt, Thomas Hill, and William Keith were part of the Rocky Mountain School of landscape painters and created hundreds of western landscapes during their careers. Thomas Moran himself was born in the Northern England town of Bolton, but went onto be brought up in the United States, where he discovered and loved the North American countryside which became the inspiration for his famous landscape paintings, which he rarely diverted from.
